Fernie DMO

You are invited to attend a Fernie Destination Marketing Organization (DMO) information meeting on Tuesday, April 1, 2008 at 7:00pm. The DMO will attract more visitors to Fernie who stay longer and spend more. Every business in Fernie will benefit from this increased visitor activity.

“The DMO initiative has taken five years of hard work gathering community input and support,” says Simon Howse, Interim Board Chair. “It has always been the implementation committee’s intention to involve a wide variety of citizens to help provide the necessary tools for a successful and long lasting Society.” All stakeholders are invited to represent their sectors by joining the Fernie DMO and if interested – an opportunity to become a member of the board.

Businesses are encouraged to attend this information meeting to get an update on the progress of the DMO and give input on the membership recruitment strategy. Membership to the DMO will not be mandatory. For information on the membership fee structure go to www.ferniedmo.com.

The DMO information meeting will start at 7:00pm at the Senior Citizens Drop-In Centre at 562-3rd Avenue.
